Anger Needs to be Expressed

Our culture says that anger hurts you but we are only getting a half truth here. Anger only punishes you when you keep it inside and suppress it. When you, however, give it full expression in a safe place, once released, you might find that grief was underneath it. Then finally, we feel the grief that has been locked in our repressed anger.

You might not be able to feel the grief unless the anger or rage is let out and set free. If you ever feel angry, that’s the grief trying to come out. Get to a safe place and let it go. …even if you have to fake it at first just to break down the barriers …whatever you need to do to get the genuine part of the anger OUT. What you keep inside might control you in the most self-destructive ways.
